My name is Maranda. I’m 19 years old and I love so many of the aspects of natural/crunchy living. I believe that even committing to one natural way of living is fantastic, and you don’t have to completely commit to a 100% crunchy lifestyle to IMPROVE your life. Living with the ideals I have hasn’t been easy, especially living in rural Pennsylvania.  As of this post being written (October 17th, 2012) I’m 33 weeks pregnant with my first baby, a girl who my fiance and I have lovingly named Ramona after the Bob Dylan song ‘To Ramona’ and we are having a planned homebirth with a midwife whenever she decides to make her arrival. I’m also a lacto-ovo vegetarian and I love to cook and bake.

I started Créme De La Birth because I want to help educate others on natural childbirth, natural/crunchy living, and to generally help others. It is my hope that, one day I can obtain education to become a childbirth educator, lactation consultant/breastfeeding counselor and placenta crafter.  Until then, I’ll impose my eternal wisdom [ 😉 ] on this blog.
